Love in the Time of Anarchy
by Olivia Peterson
Two people from very different lives find themselves together in a refugee truck fleeing The Melt. They come from two sides of the warring Divides responsible for the end of humanity. They have nothing in common, and nothing to lose. With no company but each other, are they forced to set aside their difference and come together for a final chance of peace? Or is the severance between their worlds just too widely split?
Battlefield Ambience
The play takes place within the refugee truck but sound played a crucial part in establishing and reinforcing the war-torn civilisation that the characters occupy. A distant yet unrelenting soundscape littered with explosions, gunfire and falling debris can be heard throughout as a grim reminder of the world they live in.
